so i though id write about the couple of days i did of work experience at st pauls. it was really good, most of the teachers that taught me were still there and remembered me. they were all really nice, and its such a good school. its small and the teachers are great and they have really good facilities and programs. i spent most of my time with the grade 1s and 2s. zomg theyre so cute! we did things like show and tell, read stories, coloured in and did wordfinds, played maths games and did worksheets. wow i wish i could go back there. when everythings so simple. but thats not to say highschool hasnt been a blast. i swear the innocence and naivety of those kids was so adorable. its hard to remember what you were like. oh well, in a few years no doubt ill be talking about these times as the "good old days".

Remember when getting high meant swinging on the playground
The worst thing you could get from boys was cooties
Mum and Dad were your heroes and your worst enemies were your siblings
The only drug you knew of was cough medicine
Wearing skirts didn't make you a slut
The only thing that hurt were skinned knees
And the only thing broken was toys
Life was simple and care free but now things are different.

I Wanna Rock And Roll All Night, And Party Every Day
well ive been have a party marathon of late, 4 parties in 3 weekends. i had 2 yesterday. i went to nats first, braving the freezing conditions. i got their at just before 12, which was when the party was due to start. sandy came a few minutes later and that was it for about 30mins. so we ate chips and chicken. then matt arrived, and slowly more people turned up. so by 1pm we were all eating and taking photos. so then we decided to play a game. we were blindfolded one at a time and we had to draw a picture. brodie was the winner, after her excellent drawing of two men, with fishes jumping into their mouths. then we went back to eating and taking more photos. we also played such games as pin the toupe on bert newton and pass the parcel, won by maria and sandy respectivly. nat also made the mistake of having helium balloons and much time was spent making dicks of ourselves, saying funny things. we also went upstairs and admired nats sexy new bass. paige and maria made the mistake of going outside and we proceeded to lock them out, and then pretend we didnt. nat also had much fun opening her sexy presents. the cake wasnt rele a cake either, was a mound of cupcakes instead. the rest of the afternoon was spent playing xbox and fusball, or as paige would say "fuzzball". after going home and eating dinner it was off to bills, in which we arrived fashionably late. i stayed inside wt the guitar heros and the sing stars, because it was absolutly freezing outside. so after partying hard all day, i finally went to sleep at 1am.
twas a good day :)

It's The End Of TV As We Know It, And Quite Frankly I Don't Feel Fine
well its that time of year again. while were all gearing up for the summer holidays and christmas, the annual evilness that is the end of the rating season also comes. when we no longer have homework or study for exams, when we want nothing more than so sit on our butts and be sucked into the mindless, unrealistic stuff that is television, this is when they strike. the australian shows all have their season finals, and the American shows that are still airing in the US, finish up here! WHAT AM I MEANT TO DO FOR NINE WEEKS! i suppose that you'll tell me to go and play outside and be social. HA!. well this evilness can not beat me. i have this thing called a computer that has broadband and i will be watching all the american shows that i want on this little thing called the internet. but really, how can they do this to us? i need these shows. i dont think these tv stations quite understand what it is theyre doing to us. all the shows ending or have ended by next friday are (note i may not watch all of these shows, but) : spicks and specks, the einstein factor, 60 minutes, australian idol, landline, talking heads, home and away, out of the question, good news week, foreign correspondent, packed to the rafters, all saints, rush, cook and the chef, the new inventors, at the movies, criminal minds (still airing in america!), bones, getaway, the strip, law and order criminal intent. what do they expect us to do? and then we all know what happens next dont we? all the shit shows and crappy reruns that weve seen a million times replace the good ones. the only good things that comes with going back to school is that all the good tv shows return. the only thing is you have to plan your homework and and study around them. during the next two months is the time when people are home and have nothing to do! when they want to watch pointless and highly improbable storylines. no wonder kids get into trouble over the summer. theyre being forced outside, into the world, forced to have human contact with each other, and they dont know what to do. violence results as they struggle with the withdrawl of good tv. when there comes the time that i cant watch some prostitute be murdered by a guy thinking he is killing for the greater good, and then have some all powerful team who can magically solve the case in 40 minutes, acting all cool with their guns and making lameass horatio cane comments and not wearing proper clothing at crime scenes, well i dont want to live in that world!

Rockin' The Suburbs
so i had my first day of work experience today at RRR. twas ok. mostly i was just in the music library, filing CD's and listening to music, they must have about 20,000 CDs in there. on the tram i wanted to punch this asshole who would not shut the fuck up. as much as work was ok, really i just want it to be the holidays now! i cant take this anymore. its just so close, i want it to be now. i just dont want to do anything. no homework, study having to go places. i just want to sit on my couch and watch dvds and reading trashy novels. i want maddie to come home. i want it to be christmas. if i could have one wish it would be for it to be december 2nd now!!! i want to curl up in ball and sleep for the next two weeks. the holidays for the past few weeks just seem to be out of reach. 14 DAYS TO FREEDOM!

"I got shit running through my brain
So intense that I cant explain
Im pissed off but Im too polite
When people break in the mcdonalds line
I dont know how much I can take
Girl give me something I can break
I can feel that somethings not right
I can feel that someones blasting me
With hate and bass
Youd better look out

Attack Of The Exams (part two)
well i finished my exams! i had three yesterday and two today. i think that i failed my methods exam and did shit on my lit essay yesterday. but i thought its your world went ok. anyway today was pretty good. i had the first two periods free so i spent the first one studying science and the second studying history. at recess we all just hung out. then i had a science exam. it wasnt to hot in the room. the exam wasnt to long and i finished early, it wasnt that hard either. multiple choice on the three topics then some short answer questions. at lunch i had to go and sell my books. i didnt take to long, then i went and met up with nat in the library. then i rushed off to my last exam - history. was rele easy. match the words and the meanings. comment on the significance of enlistment and conscription posters and write an essay on the question of your choice. i did how the great depression affected society. and also finished early. im so glad its over. NO MORE SCHOOL!

Attack Of The Exams (part one)
i just did my first day of exams. it went alright, but i am SO tired now. and i have to do two more days. i dont think ill be going to funfield on friday. there was no form assembly so we just went to b11 where we had english - romeo and juliet. it really gay that ur not allowed pencil cases, all ur stuff has to be in a plastic pocket thing. the tables and everything were all set up and our teacher was mr smily man. we went in an got our questions. i picked "despite their flaws it was outside influenes that caused the tragedy of romeo and juliet" it was pretty easy, i wrote about 3 or 4 pages in twp periods. then at recess we didnt do much and we had to be outside our classes early. we had maths next, and it was starting to get hot. it was like 28C today or something. the exam was so long! hardly anyone finished. i did short answers or part b first, that took a period, then i did 1 of 2 questions from part c, worth 10 marks. then i went back and did part a multiple choice, up until linear, which i didnt attempt and then back to part c to do the second question. so besides the linear questions i finished, but god it was so long. then me and nat went to the library at lunch in an attempt to study for the second english exam, the argumentative one. we only got a peroid for that one, and i think i did ok. i wrote over 2 pages. so, so far i think im doing well, its just that im so god damn tired. i cant wait for this to be over. its this close to the holidays!

The Way We Get By
well i have a few things to talk about. first exams are next week. im not that worried, coz im sick ive just been doing notes, not real study, but i had to force myself to write the notes, on the account of writing notes suck. anyway, i also found out what my subjects are for next yr and ive gotten all the one that i wanted. methods, bio, lit 3&4, eng, history. and im with maddie for ALL of my subjects. im looking so forward to next yr and starting over.
in other news last night at the video store i got the entire third season of NCIS. im slightly addicted. NCIS only comes second to Criminal Minds and Rush. i guess its a little sad when you spend your whole staurday night watching 7 episodes about murders, but hey.
lately ive also gone back and started reading my favourite series, the Stephanie Plum novels. theres 14 main books and 3 "between the numbers". Stephanie is a bounty hunter in New Jersey and is always getting stalked, shot at, cussed at, firebombed at by crazed stalkers and killers. these are probablly the funniest books ive ever read. i can not wait for the new ones to comes out next yr.
at the moment things are pretty good :)

And They're Off And Racing
well i know its thursday, but on tuesday we had a Melbourne Cup get together with some friends at my house. people arrived at around 12:30-1:00. we sat around outside and talked for almost 90 minutes eating nibbles. the weather was nice, blue skies hardly any wind. we had a bbq for lunch, complete with sausages, kebabs (lamb and chicken), burgers and fish cakes. we then did a sweep to pick our horses. and went inside to watch the race. it was so close at the end, practically a dead heat. my horse came third, and after putting in my dollar to enter i ended up with $4. after that it was back outside for our own race, The Cardboard Cup. which envolves carrying a small plank of wood with a cup of water balanced on it (at the front there was a cut out of a horses head - all made by dad) and you had to run down the driveway (which it quite long) around the bin and back with out spilling the water. sort of like an egg and spoon race. the winner (bruno) won $20. then we all had desert and after that steph, tim and i spent the rest of the afternoon at the park, hanging out and being cool.
overall an awesome day.
oh and thank god Obama won, i was at home watching it live on tv when it was announced and he made his speech. i hope there will never be anymore Bible bashing presidents who are still living in the 20th century.

Fear Of Shorts (and little kids)
so today was an awesome day. me, steph and alex met up at Pacoe Station because were off to see Tripod!
we left the station on the 3:22 train and got off at Flinders St. we headed down Swanston St to the Arts Centre to buy our tickets even though we had over an hour. we walked past the big tent, cafe and bar set up outside and after going literally through a maze to get to the box office, we bought our tickets for $10. as we had about an hour to wait we went back to outside Flinders where we bought doughnuts and milkshakes. we went to sit and eat at Fed Square where we experienced the free and slightly amusing entertainment of a group of guys that were totally shitfaced :) one of them came and sat next to us. i have once again proven my amazing ability to attract drunk guys. at 4:30 we headed back and headed for the little girls room, where we almost crashed into Demi from So You Think You Can Dance. then we lined up outside the tent. it was here that we noticed all these families. steph had said it was family friendly but we didnt think this friendly. when we got inside we became aware of the horror that we were in.a tent full of toddlers and their parents >.< . luckily Tripod were on first. they sung "The Wheel", "Trees Get Chained To Hippies", "The Day When We Found That Body", "I'm Not Coping" and "Thursday". then their was an intermission. then out came the Casio brothers and Demi aka Demolition B-Girl. oh boy. the Casio Brothers were 2 white wannbe hip hoppers in white trackies prentending to be Swedish. we stayed for 2 songs then got the fuck out of there. they were singing crap about turn offur tv. after steph bought some merch we saw Gatesy. we went over to him and got some photos and had a chat. he was SO nice. we then went out of sight and sound and did the jump and scream.
twas overall a totally AWESOME day.
